Dentsu setting up Internet ad joint venture in India

Advertising agency Dentsu Inc said Monday that it will set up an online ad joint venture in India within this month. The new firm, Clickstreamers India Ltd, will have capital of 10 million rupees, of which 51% will be put up by Dentsu and 49% by its Indian partner, Mumbai-based Connecturf India Ltd. Connecturf specializes in Internet advertising services.

The move is intended to meet growing demand for online advertising services in India in line with an increase in the number of Internet users in the South Asian country.

The new company will have its head office in Mumbai and branch offices in such cites as Delhi and Bangalore.

The Indian online ad market in 2012 is projected to grow three-fold from the level in 2007.
