Ecoglass filters out 75% of solar heat

Asahi Glass Co (AGC) has developed Sunbalance Triple Cool, the first triple-silver-coated glass product to be manufactured in Japan. Featuring the highest energy efficiency among AGC’s product lineups, the new Ecoglass product ensures indoor brightness while dramatically reducing incoming solar heat.

AGC’s Sunbalance Triple Cool Ecoglass product features an enhanced heat shielding performance for commercial buildings, making it suitable for use as a top light material for residential application.

The production of the new product take place at advanced facilities set up at the Kashima Plant this spring, while the launch is scheduled for November.
