Fujitsu named by Thomson Reuters as one of world’s 100 most innovative companies

Fujitsu said Monday that it has been selected as one of Thomson Reuters 2011 Top 100 Global Innovators as a result of high evaluations earned for its intellectual property rights activities in the areas of patent approval success rate, global reach of patent portfolio, patent influence in literature citations and overall patent volume.

The Thomson Reuters 2011 Top 100 Global Innovator program is an initiative undertaken by Thomson Reuters that analyzes patent data and related metrics in a proprietary methodology to identify the companies and institutions that lead the world in innovation activity. The Thomson Reuters 2011 Top 100 Global Innovator methodology is based on four principal criteria: patent approval success rate, global reach of patent portfolio, patent influence in literature citations and overall patent volume.
