JFE provides steel-making tech to ThyssenKrupp

JFE Steel Corp has provided proprietary technologies to major German steelmaker ThyssenKrupp Steel AG for the production of zinc-coated automotive steel products.

The move made the Duisburg-based company the only European steelmaker to manufacture steel products using JFE’s technologies.

JFE Steel, a unit of JFE Holdings Inc, and ThyssenKrupp Steel have been under a comprehensive technical tie-up agreement on research and development of automotive steel products since 2002.
