A new page on the Xbox Japan website confirms that Microsoft’s newest home console will finally go on sale in Japan on Thursday, Sept 4.
n
The console will retail for 49,980 yen with the Kinect camera in the box, or 39,980 yen without, reflecting Microsoft’s recent SKU changes in the U.S.
n
A Siliconera report also states that Japanese launch titles will include the following:
n
Forza Motorsport 5,nKinect Sports RivalsnDead Rising 3nRyse: Son of RomenTomb Raider: Definitive EditionnThiefnMurdered: Soul SuspectnCall of Duty: Ghosts

Will Japanese gamers be tempted by Microsoft’s new console, or will its belated launch, coupled with the fact that gamers here traditionally prefer Sony’s platform, result in sales as underwhelming as its predecessor? We’ll find out this summer, but most likely gamers’ reactions to the console and the titles available to play at Tokyo Game Show 2014 will be a fair indication.
