Mitsubishi Chemical to produce formulated electrolytes in China

Mitsubishi Chemical will establish a new subsidiary in China in February 2012 to manufacture and sell formulated electrolyte for lithium-ion batteries.

Battery production in China is expected to grow rapidly, both for the consumer electronics and for the emerging automotive applications. To meet this strong market demand, Mitsubishi Chemical will build capacity in China through a new subsidiary, which will manufacture and sell formulated electrolyte.
