NEC Corp, Shinsegae I & C Co Ltd and NICE Information Service Co have formed a strategic alliance that promotes the development of cloud service models that analyze customer information.

Shinsegae is the system integration branch of the Shinsegae Group, a South Korea-based conglomerate that operates businesses across a wide range of industries, including the fashion, hotel and general construction fields. NICE is a South Korea-based company that is focused on the provision of credit information services and manages the maintenance of ATMs throughout South Korea.

This new alliance aims to provide cloud services that analyze areas such as marketing, potential customer bases and existing customer bases. These cloud services would capitalize on a strong combination of technologies and services that include NEC’s “FieldAnalyst” solution from its “PanelDirector” series, which detects facial images and classifies their age and gender into groups in real-time, as well as the company’s “CONNEXIVE” platform for processing M2M data. Moreover, Shinsegae provides expertise in building cloud service infrastructure and NICE offers its leading position in data analysis.
n
The alliance will examine a wide range of cloud service models that provide client companies with analysis of images from facility cameras. In the future, this analysis could be used in service models that combine POS, weather and a variety of other information that influences consumer behavior.
