Hands-on ​information ​sessions to demonstrate the benefits of ePortfolios to families and educators for recording and assessing child development using the private cloud-based learning community, Storypark​, will be given by an education company in Tokyo.

Developed in New Zealand, but used by over 50,000 people worldwide, Storypark is used in Japan by international schools and kindergartens. It has been heralded as a valuable community tool, through the feedback of parents and teachers.

Using ePortfolios, teachers and parents can privately share stories about a child’s development with updates, images, video​s​ and PDFs to share the home and school life in ways that have never before been possible, and build a lasting portfolio to be cherished for a lifetime. ​Stories are automatically separated by child to protect ​nIndividual privacy ​and help teachers save time. With parents as the administrators of their child’s content​ to join in their child’s school life in new ways. ​Teachers can manage comments or posts, tag educational outcomes, evidence of learning, and gather data with administrative tools.

​Training for how to use Storypark ​as an ePortfolio is a free service from Global Partners, and for those unable to attend, private appointments can be​ made.
