UNIQLO on Tuesday announced the debut of UNIQLO HairDo, a new service that offers coordinated hairstyle and clothing recommendations. With HairDo, UNIQLO offers a fun range of unique online content to help women match their hair to UNIQLO’s latest seasonal styles, at the dedicated UNIQLO HairDo website, at http://www.uniqlo.com/jp/lifetools/hairdo.

UNIQLO HairDo is designed to inspire and entertain, with 16 suggested hairstyles and matching outfits. The site explains hairstyling techniques in an easy, step-by-step manner with matching images, which are also available on Pinterest.
n
With UNIQLO Hairdo, UNIQLO launches its first global Pinterest account, consolidating efforts across its 14 markets worldwide to create a single contact point on the popular social media platform. UNIQLO HairDo also marks the first time that UNIQLO has designed online content for this unique platform in Japanese.

The design team positioned mirrors to show the facial expressions of four models in images that explain the steps involved in recreating each hairstyle. They also used animation to provide a uniquely fun, realistic experience.
n
The coordinated outfits featured on UNIQLO HairDo can be purchased through the UNIQLO online store in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the UK and the U.S. Local language versions of the UNIQLO HairDo site are planned in Chinese (simplified and traditional), English, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Thai.
n
UNIQLO said it developed the new service in line with its LifeWear concept, which offers clothing designed to meet specific lifestyle needs.
n
UNIQLO HairDo is the latest in UNIQLO’s “life tools” services, which launched with the popular UNIQLOCK blog widget in 2007.
