Nihon University will hold the first international symposium on medical-engineering collaboration, “Medicine Definitely Jumps Up with 8K,” on July 10 in Tokyo. Many experts on imaging technology or its medical applied research will present their achievements and future prospects on progress of medical technology and a new industry produced with 8K technology.
n
Nihon University introduced technological innovation brought about by 8K (supernhigh vision) into the field of medicine as a trailblazer, and is promoting itsnmedical-engineering collaboration project with the goal of providing high-nquality medical services both in Japan and abroad.
n
Japan excels in image sensors, cameras, displays and data processing systems inn8K technology originating in Japan. Japan also leads the world in endoscopensystems and medical services using such devices.
n
This symposium will show the most advanced and practical medical-engineeringncollaboration project in which these two fields band together to establish a “world-standard medical system originating in Japan.”
n
The development of an endoscope medical system by utilizing 8K technology willninnovate surgical operations and enable early detections and accurate diagnosesnof diseases. The development of such a system has potential for creatingninternationally competitive industries by helping to produce next-generationnreal displays and create low-noise data processing technology.
n
Symposium participants can see demonstration images taken with 8K cameras andnendoscopic and microscopic images by using conventional projectors and 8Knprojectors. 8K liquid crystal monitors and 8K cameras will also allow thenparticipants to see the latest and 8K demonstration and live images.
