Rakuten to join SBI’s nightime trading system

Online broker Rakuten Securities Inc said Monday it will provide nighttime trading services via a proprietary trading system of SBI Holdings Inc from mid-April. Rakuten Securities’ participation in the PTS, operated by an SBI unit, will allow its customers to trade shares between 7 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.

Rakuten Securities will be the fourth brokerage house to connect to SBI’s PTS, after Goldman Sachs Japan Co, SBI E* Trade Securities Co and Click Securities Inc.nPTS is an electronic system that allows investors to trade securities outside an exchange.
