Sharp unveils new WiMAX-enabled Galapagos tablet

Sharp Corp said Wednesday that it will launch a new version of its electronic book reader Galapagos, which incorporates WiMAX technology.

The new 400-gram Galapagos, which has a 7-inch liquid crystal display, will go on sale Dec 9, Sharp officials said at a news conference. It features front and rear cameras, and 16 GB of RAM, and comes with Android 3.2 installed.
