Virtual reality startup wins premier Japanese startup pitch battle

Infinity Ventures Summit took place earlier this week in the beef capital of Japan, Kobe. Now in its tenth year, the invite-only event is considered one of Japan’s most prestigious startup happenings.

nFirst place – Clustern

Cluster is a virtual reality (VR) event hosting platform which can accommodate over 1,000 participants.

600 people participated in the company’s official virtual release party this last Saturday. Participants can join the party through a VR headset or with a computer browser. Similar to how you would create an online chat, users can host their own events by going to Cluster’s homepage and creating a room.

The company takes a 30 percent cut of all ticket sales.
